Total Length: 7.3”
Blade Length: 3.6”
Grip Thickness: 0.6”
This one-of-a-kind handmade fixed blade combines an exceptionally complex canister Damascus dragon core with traditional segmented geometric woodworking, and it is one of only four Salty Dog Lumber blades that will ever exist from this billet.
The steel was forged by Adam DeVille of DeVille’s Damascus, whose billets are individually created rather than reproduced as repeating production patterns. At the center of this piece is a dramatic canister Damascus dragon core, surrounded by Damascus cladding constructed from 1080 steel, 15N20, and copper.
The result is a blade filled with movement. Bold shapes from the canister core emerge through flowing layers of steel while warm copper traces its way through the surrounding Damascus. Different portions of the pattern become visible across the grind, making the steel as much a piece of functional artwork as it is a blade material.
This exact Damascus pattern will not be made again.
Adam DeVille does not duplicate his Damascus billets. This particular billet yielded only four blades for Salty Dog Lumber Company, making each knife one of only four opportunities to own a piece of this specific steel.
The four knives are not mass-produced copies or a repeating production run. Each was individually created from a different section of the same one-of-a-kind billet, giving every blade its own expression of the original pattern.
Once these four are gone, this Damascus is gone with them.
The handle continues the pattern work using a traditional segmented geometric inlay technique. Natural redwood and black-dyed black ash are individually cut and assembled into an intricate interwoven design, with thin blonde maple veneer pinched between the two species to sharply define the geometry.
Two decorative mosaic pins and a central Lone Star mosaic pin complete the handle, adding fine detail while allowing the Damascus and geometric woodwork to remain the focus.
A fitted Kydex sheath is included.

This knife is made from high-carbon steel and requires routine care to prevent rust and corrosion. Carbon steel is not stainless steel and may naturally develop a patina over time.
Keep the blade clean, completely dry, and lightly oiled when not in use. Do not leave the knife wet, submerged in water, or exposed to prolonged moisture. After use, clean and thoroughly dry the blade before returning it to its sheath. Apply a thin coat of appropriate knife or mineral oil regularly, particularly before storage.
Rust, corrosion, staining, or patina that develops after delivery as a result of use, moisture exposure, storage conditions, or lack of maintenance is not considered a manufacturing defect and is not covered by our warranty.
Continued care and maintenance after delivery are the responsibility of the owner.
