Handmade 1080 & Copper Damascus Tanto Knife – Jeep Fordite & Buckeye Handle

$549.99

Total Length: 7.6”

Blade Length: 3.7”

Grip Thickness: 0.8”

This one-of-a-kind handmade fixed blade combines bold 1080 and copper Damascus, genuine automotive Fordite, and naturally figured buckeye in a clean segmented design.

The tanto-inspired blade is crafted from 1080 steel and copper Damascus produced by Iron Beak Forge. Dark layers of carbon steel are traced with warm copper throughout the blade, creating an organic pattern that contrasts beautifully against the sharp, angular geometry of the blade profile.

The segmented handle begins with genuine Jeep Fordite, revealing the colorful layers of automotive paint accumulated and cured during Jeep manufacturing. Shaping and polishing the Fordite exposes those individual layers as sweeping bands of color, making every piece completely unique.

The handle transitions into richly figured buckeye, bringing natural burl-like movement and warm earthy tones against the crisp stripes of the Fordite. Together, the two materials create a striking contrast between automotive history and natural wood figure.

Decorative mosaic pins complete the handle, including a Lone Star mosaic pin that adds a subtle Texas signature to the piece.

Individually shaped and finished by hand, this knife includes a fitted Kydex sheath for secure carry and storage.

⚠️ Carbon Steel Care & Maintenance

This knife is made from high-carbon steel and requires routine care to prevent rust and corrosion. Carbon steel is not stainless steel and may naturally develop a patina over time.

Keep the blade clean, completely dry, and lightly oiled when not in use. Do not leave the knife wet, submerged in water, or exposed to prolonged moisture. After use, clean and thoroughly dry the blade before returning it to its sheath. Apply a thin coat of appropriate knife or mineral oil regularly, particularly before storage.

Rust, corrosion, staining, or patina that develops after delivery as a result of use, moisture exposure, storage conditions, or lack of maintenance is not considered a manufacturing defect and is not covered by our warranty.

Continued care and maintenance after delivery are the responsibility of the owner.
