This one-of-a-kind handmade hunting knife combines copper-layered Damascus with a segmented handle built from figured woods and a centerpiece dating back thousands of years.
The hunting blade is crafted from 1080 steel and copper Damascus produced by Iron Beak Forge. Layers of dark carbon steel are traced with warm copper throughout the blade, creating a flowing pattern that follows the long, sweeping profile of the cutting edge.
The handle is constructed from a carefully selected combination of materials, beginning with richly figured California buckeye. Small segments of spalted maple and red-dyed mango create contrasting transitions toward the center of the handle.
At its heart is a segment of mammoth molar, displaying the distinctive natural bands, mineral coloration, and organic pattern that make fossil mammoth tooth such an extraordinary material. Rather than overwhelming the handle with it, the smaller center section allows the mammoth molar to become a focal point framed by the surrounding woods.
The result is a handle that moves from dark natural figure through warm red accents into the cool, unmistakable pattern of mammoth molar before transitioning back into wood.
Decorative mosaic pins complete the handle, while a fitted Kydex sheath is included for secure carry and storage.

GENUINE MAMMOTH MOLAR
The center segment of this handle is crafted from genuine fossil mammoth molar. Its distinctive bands and natural mineral coloration were formed within the tooth itself, giving every cut a completely unique pattern. Because this is a natural ancient material, variations and small natural characteristics are part of what makes each piece unique.
This knife contains genuine fossil mammoth molar. Due to state laws regulating the sale and/or importation of mammoth and ivory-related materials, this item cannot be shipped to certain states or jurisdictions where the sale of mammoth products is prohibited.

This knife is made from high-carbon steel and requires routine care to prevent rust and corrosion. Carbon steel is not stainless steel and may naturally develop a patina over time.
Keep the blade clean, completely dry, and lightly oiled when not in use. Do not leave the knife wet, submerged in water, or exposed to prolonged moisture. After use, clean and thoroughly dry the blade before returning it to its sheath. Apply a thin coat of appropriate knife or mineral oil regularly, particularly before storage.
Rust, corrosion, staining, or patina that develops after delivery as a result of use, moisture exposure, storage conditions, or lack of maintenance is not considered a manufacturing defect and is not covered by our warranty.
Continued care and maintenance after delivery are the responsibility of the owner.
