America 250 Feather Damascus Knife – Jeep Fordite | God, Country & Texas

$549.99

Total Length: 7.75”

Blade Length: 3.5”

Grip Thickness: 0.625”

Created in honor of the 250th anniversary of the United States, this one-of-a-kind handmade knife brings together American steel, veteran craftsmanship, automotive history, and Texas pride.

The blade features Feather Damascus forged from 1080 and 15N20 steel by Iron Beak Forge, an Army veteran-owned forge. The feather pattern creates sweeping, layered formations throughout the blade, with each side revealing the movement created as the steels were repeatedly forged, manipulated, and brought together.

For our America 250 collection, the story behind the materials matters just as much as their appearance. The steel was sourced through New Jersey Steel Baron, an American steel supplier, before being transformed into Feather Damascus by Iron Beak Forge.

The handle continues that American story with genuine Jeep Fordite. Fordite is formed from layers of automotive paint accumulated and repeatedly cured during vehicle manufacturing. Cutting and polishing the material exposes those hidden layers as flowing bands of color, making every handle inherently unique.

Jeep also holds a special place in American military and manufacturing history. The military Jeep became an indispensable piece of equipment during World War II and an enduring symbol of American wartime production and ingenuity. General Dwight D. Eisenhower later counted the Jeep among the pieces of equipment he considered instrumental to Allied victory.

Three mosaic pins complete the commemorative theme:

God. Country. Texas.

A cross represents faith.
An eagle represents country and the American spirit.
A Lone Star represents Texas, where the finished knife was handcrafted.

Together, the American-sourced steel, Army veteran-forged Feather Damascus, Jeep Fordite, and symbolic details create a one-of-a-kind knife made specifically to commemorate America's 250th anniversary in 2026.

🇺🇸 America 250 Commemorative Series

Created for America’s 250th Anniversary

This knife is part of Salty Dog Lumber Company’s America 250 commemorative collection, created to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the United States in 2026. Each knife in the collection is individually designed and handmade rather than mass-produced, using materials and details selected to tell a distinctly American story.

⚠️ Carbon Steel Care & Maintenance

This knife is made from high-carbon steel and requires routine care to prevent rust and corrosion. Carbon steel is not stainless steel and may naturally develop a patina over time.

Keep the blade clean, completely dry, and lightly oiled when not in use. Do not leave the knife wet, submerged in water, or exposed to prolonged moisture. After use, clean and thoroughly dry the blade before returning it to its sheath. Apply a thin coat of appropriate knife or mineral oil regularly, particularly before storage.

Rust, corrosion, staining, or patina that develops after delivery as a result of use, moisture exposure, storage conditions, or lack of maintenance is not considered a manufacturing defect and is not covered by our warranty.

Continued care and maintenance after delivery are the responsibility of the owner.
