America 250 Commemorative Damascus Knife – Jeep Fordite | God, Country & Texas

America 250 Commemorative Knife

Total Length: 7.8”

Blade Length: 3.8”

Grip Thickness: 0.6”

Created in honor of the 250th anniversary of the United States, this one-of-a-kind knife was designed around a simple idea: tell an American story through the materials, craftsmanship, and details that make up the finished piece.

The story begins with the blade.

Its multi-layer Damascus is constructed from 1080 steel, 15N20, and nickel sourced through New Jersey Steel Baron, an American steel supplier. The Damascus was then produced by Iron Beak Forge, an Army veteran-owned forge, transforming those materials into the dramatic layered billet from which we shaped and finished this blade by a Marine Veteran.

The American story continues into the handle with genuine Jeep Fordite. Fordite is created from layers of automotive paint accumulated and repeatedly cured during vehicle manufacturing. Once cut and polished, those hidden layers are exposed as sweeping bands of color, meaning no two pieces can ever be exactly alike.

For this commemorative knife, Jeep carries an additional significance. The Jeep became an enduring symbol of American ingenuity and manufacturing during World War II and played an essential role in Allied mobility during the war. Its contribution was significant enough that General Dwight D. Eisenhower later counted the Jeep among the pieces of equipment he believed were instrumental to Allied victory.

Finally, three mosaic pins complete the story:

God. Country. Texas.

A cross represents faith.
An eagle represents country and the American spirit.
A Lone Star brings the story home to Texas, where this knife was handcrafted.

Together, these elements create a piece commemorating 250 years of the United States through American materials, American military service, American manufacturing history, and Texas craftsmanship.

⚠️ Carbon Steel Care & Maintenance

This knife is made from high-carbon steel and requires routine care to prevent rust and corrosion. Carbon steel is not stainless steel and may naturally develop a patina over time.

Keep the blade clean, completely dry, and lightly oiled when not in use. Do not leave the knife wet, submerged in water, or exposed to prolonged moisture. After use, clean and thoroughly dry the blade before returning it to its sheath. Apply a thin coat of appropriate knife or mineral oil regularly, particularly before storage.

Rust, corrosion, staining, or patina that develops after delivery as a result of use, moisture exposure, storage conditions, or lack of maintenance is not considered a manufacturing defect and is not covered by our warranty.

Continued care and maintenance after delivery are the responsibility of the owner.
