America 250 Commemorative Damascus Knife – Jeep Fordite | God, Country & Texas
Total Length: 7.75”
Blade Length: 3.5”
Grip Thickness: 0.6”
Created to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the United States, this one-of-a-kind handmade knife tells an American story through its steel, materials, craftsmanship, and finishing details.
The blade features a complex layered construction produced by Iron Beak Forge, an Army veteran-owned forge. At its center is a 1080 and 15N20 layered core, surrounded by a jacket of 1080 steel and copper. The result is a dramatic pattern with contrasting steel layers flowing beneath warm copper lines across the blade.
The steel used in the construction was sourced through New Jersey Steel Baron, an American steel supplier, continuing the American connection from the raw material through the finished blade.
The handle carries another piece of American manufacturing history through genuine Jeep Fordite. Fordite is created from layers of automotive paint that accumulated and repeatedly cured during vehicle manufacturing. Once cut and polished, those hidden layers are exposed, creating flowing patterns that preserve a small piece of automotive history in every handle.
For our America 250 knives, Jeep carries special significance. The military Jeep became one of the defining pieces of American equipment of World War II, providing transportation and mobility across virtually every theater of the war. General Dwight D. Eisenhower later included the Jeep among the pieces of equipment he considered instrumental to Allied victory.
The final elements complete the theme:
God. Country. Texas.
A cross mosaic pin represents faith.
An eagle mosaic pin represents country and the American spirit.
A Lone Star mosaic pin represents Texas, where the finished knife was handcrafted.
Together, the veteran-forged blade, American-sourced steel, Jeep Fordite, and symbolic pins create a knife built specifically to commemorate 250 years of the United States of America.

🇺🇸 America 250 Commemorative Series
Created for America’s 250th Anniversary
This knife is part of Salty Dog Lumber Company’s America 250 commemorative collection, created to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the United States in 2026. Each knife in the collection is individually designed and handmade rather than mass-produced, using materials and details selected to tell a distinctly American story.
⚠️ Carbon Steel Care & Maintenance
This knife is made from high-carbon steel and requires routine care to prevent rust and corrosion. Carbon steel is not stainless steel and may naturally develop a patina over time.
Keep the blade clean, completely dry, and lightly oiled when not in use. Do not leave the knife wet, submerged in water, or exposed to prolonged moisture. After use, clean and thoroughly dry the blade before returning it to its sheath. Apply a thin coat of appropriate knife or mineral oil regularly, particularly before storage.
Rust, corrosion, staining, or patina that develops after delivery as a result of use, moisture exposure, storage conditions, or lack of maintenance is not considered a manufacturing defect and is not covered by our warranty.
Continued care and maintenance after delivery are the responsibility of the owner.
